Earlier today, amidst a beautiful Winter’s walk, I came across a fallen tree. I noticed that although it had been uprooted by the winds of recent weeks, and despite the fact it should be in its Winter’s resting period, devoid of any leafs, this tree was still alive. Then I noticed that this fallen tree had started to grow new shoots from one of the branches closest to the ground, with new green buds forming, ready to open up as a witness to the power of life.
In the last weeks of the year now past, some may have felt like this tree. Swept by the external winds, unable to take shelter from them. Some may have felt as if they had finally succumbed to the external barrage of energies and circumstances, wondering how they would be able to withstand the external circumstances, finally succumbing to the internal struggle.
If this is you, I see you. But do not despair. Just like the uprooted tree, you too can grow and bloom even if where you find yourself at this moment, your circumstances, your external reality are not what you had envisioned for yourself. Honour where you are at. Honour your feelings – feelings that may have been suppressed for months, years or even decades, as a part of the conditioning most of us experienced in the old reality that is now passing. Allow them to flow, as once they have been moved through you and out of you, there will be space created for new emotions. Emotions which are more aligned with who you are becoming, a higher version of yourself. You can still, little by little, one day at a time, continue to grow where you find yourself at. Form new buds that will eventually bloom into life. Growing roots that will nourish you in this unexpected place where you find yourself now. Blossoming into the higher version of You that you came into this life to grow into.
May your year of 2025 be filled with love. May you be filled with joy.
